Research shows that more than 1/3 of the UK population is suffering from two or more chronic health conditions such as asthma, back pain, diabetes and high blood pressure. This figure increases if the individual was from a lower income, had a disruptive childhood or had mental health issues in their teens.
In other research, 4 out of 5 workers report they find it impossible to get by from one pay day to the next, despite the lowest unemployment rate since 1978. Some 38% of UK workers said the experienced insomnia due to money worries with 29% saying that the same concerns were effecting their relationships.
Learning to live with and manage long-term life issues can add extra stress on top of work, family and life commitments, adding yet more pressure to a difficult situation.
Meditation can help us to help us to discover our still, silent being beyond our life situation.
Learning to create a space between our life and our life circumstances helps us to regain our power as individuals and benefit from a sense of freedom and wellbeing.
In this FREE one hour workshop, chronic health survivor Becci Godfrey will share what helped her manage her once debilitating health issues and all the extra stresses that go with it, and supported her on her journey to recovery. In it, she will talk about how your body handles stress, the impact of chronic stress on the body and how to activate the relaxation response.
