Calm @ Christmas

Staying calm over the mayhem that's Christmas, is it possible? Only you can answer that but I believe with the right tools, practice and commitment, it is possible - even it's just a little!

What do you think of when you think of Christmas? Do you relish the decorations, parties novel food and present buying or do you dread it? Everyone is different and for some it's their favourite time of year. Others want it done and over with.


Christmas, being such a break from the normal routine, can be a huge source of stress for some - and they may not even realise it!


Modern Christmases seem to be so much more intense than I remember as a kid. It's not just one or two Christmas parties, it's many. Then there's pressure put on us from companies to buy the latest and greatest gifts, because if you can't afford it, you can put it on a credit card, right? Split families, long distance travel, unresolved family trauma, short daylight hours, a rush to get everything done before businesses close for the holidays - I could go on.


So it's understandable that for some it can be a trying time.
