Have you ever asked the doctor why you've had a particular ailment, or been told to reduce your stress levels to get a health condition under control?
Understanding that stress is a major cause of ill health is a good start to addressing the cause of almost all health conditions. However, saying "stress" in a generic way falls short of identifying what the specific source of stress is.
As a mind-body practitioner, I am well versed in helping people find and resolve the specific mind-based stressors that create health conditions. Through many years of working on myself and with clients I have come to appreciate that all behaviour is derived from thought and that health issues are a form of behaviour.
This means that our health issues are created by our thoughts. Each thought we have produces a wave of biochemistry throughout our body. This biochemistry tells the body to behave in certain ways to defend or react to a perceived threat. It can tell muscles to spasm, bowels to evacuate, blood flow to be diverted and breathing to change. If that thought is running constantly on loop in our unconscious mind, it creates a significant change. The longer it runs and more intensely it is experienced, the more impact it has.
Thoughts that are in conflict with reality are painful for us. Thoughts of fear or lack generally cause a withdrawing or tightening. Thoughts of loss or bereavement can cause a breaking away to be with someone or holding on to things and not letting go. Thoughts of not being able to cope create tension and reduction in movement. Thoughts of anger and frustration cause overheating and boiling over.
Therefore, to get to the bottom of the cause of a health condition, we must ask the unconscious mind for the thought pattern that has created it. This is usually an emotional, backed up with a reason.
Root Cause Reason
In Mind Detox, a talk therapy approach to let go of unhelpful beliefs and experience more calm, we call this a Root Cause Reason. It is a short statement like "Sad, dad doesn't love me" that we score to see how true it feels. Strong emotions of 8 upwards, have the greatest effect on the body.
Other examples of root cause reasons are:
Hurt, I was left out
Sad, I'm not enough
Scared, I don't know what's happening next
Scared, I am powerless.
Each of these left unchecked can have a profound impact on our body, accumulating a stress response over time that results in symptoms.
In Mind Detox we find and resolve these root cause reasons and to replace them with new truthful wholesome and holistic awareness, bringing the emotions into balance and restoring peace.
This enables the body to relax, stop responding to the unconscious stressor and enable the body's natural repair mechanism to do it's thing. It's an incredibly powerful technique that gets to the crux of an issue and I have been working with it for nearly 16 years now.
Through discovering and overwriting people's Root Cause Reasons with a more balanced perspective, I have seen fantastic outcomes on myself and others. Change can be seen exponentially after a session with the expectation that things would have healed quite considerably one year down the line.
Some health conditions are resolved through one session alone, whilst others may require several different emotions and beliefs to be uncovered and re-programmed.
If you have a health condition that has been diagnosed as a stress response, I highly recommend you request a telephone conversation with me to see if the Mind Detox method can help.
